Three notes per string - lesson 2

There is another run, in the Yngwie Malsteem’s fashion, at the very end of Smells Like Teen Spirit. Because I play the top string, I will use a thumb, ring finger, middle and pointer to play it. If you did not practice your tremolo exercises, and this technique is based on it, well, you better have to.

The Speed Bursts:
Here we are going to break down the Run by fingering patterns. As you probably noticed, I play a snippet, repeat it on the string above, move down, play another, repeat on the string above and so forth. Not complicated so far. Let’s work on each one… first at a slow pace, followed by speed bursts and putting everything together with your metronome…
